Scholars Serving Time

The Scholars Serving Time Program gives incarcerated women in southern Minnesota the opportunity to enroll in classes at Minnesota State University, Mankato while still incarcerated, pursuing an Associate of Arts Degree. It also helps students develop skills in self-expression, reflection, and analytic reasoning.
Vicki Hunter is the Founder and Director of the Scholars Serving Time program. She is an 18-year Professor of Sociology at MSU, Mankato. Her B.A. degree is in psychology from Kent State University, where she was the class valedictorian. She went on to also earn her Doctorate in Sociology at Kent State.
Come early and spend some social time starting at 6:30!

Dues for the coming year are:
$72 Association + $9 State + $10 Branch = $91 total. Please send a check for $91 to Linda Boorman, 1250 Edgewood Place, Owatonna, MN 55060. Check payable to AAUW Owatonna Branch. (deadline is June 30, 2024)
For the coming year $79 of your annual dues will be tax deductible.
